Corin and James decided to get married at the Grand Hotel in Tynemouth which is just a stone’s throw away from the stunning Northern seafront. The hotel is perfectly positioned with it’s view over the ocean and, thankfully, the weather was so perfect they got to make the most of their sandy surroundings.
I met Corin and James previously for a pre wedding shoot in Durham and knew that they were a really relaxed couple who just wanted to enjoy their day with their family and friends and not stress about all the small stuff. Exactly my type of couple!
I met Corin at the hotel itself where she was getting ready with her mam, gran and sisters. We then went on to the beautiful St George’s Church. After the service guests were given time to mingle in the sun before heading back to the hotel where drinks were waiting for them. The day was split between drinks in the hotel bar, meal and speeches in the main function suite and the evening reception was in the downstairs bar which had it’s own entrance leading out onto the stunning sea front.
James and Corin were so relaxed throughout the day and when I asked them if they wanted to head down to the beach they were more than happy to. Back in the day Tynemouth had its own outdoor pool for the public to use, not dried up and not in use it gave us the perfect place to get away from the people at the beach and get some more creative couple shots with views over the ocean. We then headed back up the hill to party! All in all a perfect day with a perfect couple!
